The Spain Digital Nomad Visa is a residence and remote work authorization that allows non-EU nationals to live in Spain while working remotely for companies or clients based outside Spain.
Depending on where you apply, you may obtain:
- A visa valid for up to 1 year if applying from abroad
- A residence authorization valid for up to 3 years if applying from within Spain

Requirements to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa in Spain
Non-EU Citizenship
You must be a non-EU/EEA national over 18 years old.
Remote Work
Your work must be fully remote for companies or clients outside Spain.
Minimum Income
You must demonstrate sufficient income, generally around €2,850+ per month for the main applicant, with additional amounts required for dependent family members to join the application.
Professional Background
You must have either a university degree or at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Criminal Record and Health Insurance
You must provide a clean criminal record certificate and valid health insurance or social security coverage.
Social Security
Depending on your situation, you may remain covered in your home country or be required to register with Spanish Social Security.
